This is my latest piano piece, written in a style of a beguine. I’m not sure if a piece in 3/4 time qualifies as a beguine, but the accompanying rhythms are in beguine style.
The tempo is moderato and the mood is fairly peaceful, gentle and consistent throughout, with the exception of an agitated crescendo in the middle section. This piece might work as a ballet solo, or perhaps a pas de deux, coming in at just under two minutes, thirty seconds.
